About The Seattle Wedding Industry Professionals, SWIP, is a collaborative of independent wedding professionals who share a boutique meeting space in Seattle. We support each other with inspiration, referrals, and exposure. Engaged couples are able to meet with quality prospective vendors in just one stop. The concept of SWIP was hatched over a lunch of Thai food. Cheryl and Sacha and were discussing the troubles with meeting at local Starbucks when Sacha had the idea to share a meeting space at a lower cost. We were thinking of someday, in the future, but the idea was too exciting and Cheryl began to do some research. She found some virtual offices with a similar vision, but they felt too "corporate" and didn't tailor to the needs of wedding professionals. When she stumbled upon the current location, Cheryl knew it would be a big undertaking, but she also knew the location and timing were perfect. Everything fell into place rapidly and we held an opening party in January. There has been an overwhelming response since opening. We have big ideas and plans and would love to have you join us. Each member of SWIP meets specific criteria including client reviews, wedding experience, and exceptional quality of work.
